2017 Land Initiative

The Church at Buffalo Creek has experienced fruitful growth since launching in 2014. Our vision to reach greater Rockwall County with the Gospel message continues to bring people into the BC Family.

In order to prepare for future growth, C@BC is planning to purchase 4-6 acres of land. This land purchase and future building help us fulfill the vision and Core Values of C@BC by giving us a permanent home.

With this goal in mind, we are raising funds to cover our first acre in cash. Current land prices list up to $60,000 per acre.

Will you partner with us to reach greater Rockwall County with the Gospel message of Christ?

There are 3 ways you can give: Online, Text/SMS or by mail.

FAQs

  • Does The Church at Buffalo Creek have a contract on a parcel of land?
NoC@BC has not contracted for land.
  • What is the status of the relationship between Chisholm Baptist Church and C@BC?
C@BC is currently in a lease agreement through December 31, 2017.
  • Where is the target area for C@BC to acquire land?
C@BC is looking along the Highway 205 corridor, central to the intersection of FM550 and Highway 205. Consistent with our original target area, C@BC will not move further south than FM548 or further north than FM549.
  • Will C@BC have a separate account for monies designated to the Land Initiative?
Yes. A separate account will be opened to track the monies received.
  • Is there a target date to have a contract on a piece of property?
No. The Elders have not set a timeline to have a piece of property targeted. Any timeline will be contingent on the amount of monies received and our ability to pay cash for the parcel of land.
  • Will C@BC incur any debt in the acquisition of property?
The goal of the Elders is to operate with minimal to no debt in the acquisition of property. The first phase of this initiative is to raise the capital to begin seeking a piece of property. Once a parcel is identified, a second phase of pledges and giving will commence.
  • Can C@BC receive large monetary gifts toward this project?
Yes. C@BC is capable of taking any size donation toward the acquisition of land. Due to our 501c3 status, all financial gifts are 100% tax-deductible. Likewise, the fair market value of any donated real estate can be considered tax-deductible.
